A calmer plan for your German driving theory practice

You do not need to finish every topic in one sitting. Use a small loop: understand one idea, answer questions about it, explain a mistake, then return to it later. This plan gives each session a clear purpose.

Learn to Drive · Our content approachContent updated:

01

Start with a baseline

Open daily practice and answer without looking up the answers. Treat the result as a starting point, not a verdict. Write down whether each mistake came from an unfamiliar rule, a missed word or a decision made too quickly. Different mistakes need different practice.

02

Use a 15-minute session

Spend three minutes reading one lesson, seven minutes on its questions and five minutes explaining your mistakes aloud. Stop when you can explain the reason for the correct answer. Remembering the position of a button is not the same as understanding the situation.

03

Your first seven days

Day 1: take a baseline and pick two weak topics. Days 2 and 3: practise one of those topics each day. Day 4: revisit both without notes. Day 5: study signs or unfamiliar vocabulary. Day 6: take a mixed practice test. Day 7: review recurring errors and plan the next week. Adjust the pace around your lessons.

04

Connect the screen to your lessons

Before a driving lesson, choose one question to ask your instructor. Afterwards, record one situation you found difficult. Use the simulator to rehearse attention and controls, then discuss the difference between the simulation and your training car.

05

Use the right measure of progress

Look for fewer repeated mistakes and better explanations. Learn to Drive uses original supplementary questions. Its practice tests and progress scores do not certify readiness for the official examination. Use your driving school’s approved study materials alongside this practice.

Your next step

Finish today with one topic you can explain, rather than a large number of rushed answers.
